At PT Black Rock Energy, our mining and hauling operations are carried out with precision and efficiency to ensure the seamless extraction and transportation of coal. Utilizing the open-cut method, we employ heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and dump trucks for mining activities. The transportation of overburden to coal gathering points is facilitated using Volvo off-highway dump trucks, complemented by PC 300 to 850 excavators. In parts of South Kalimantan, where coal hauling distances to the port exceed 35 kilometers, we navigate the challenges by employing coal transporters equipped to handle such distances. This strategic approach accounts for the logistical complexities posed by the mining concession area's distance from the river basin, necessitating the use of barges with a capacity of 300 feet. In contrast, coal hauling in most mining areas in East Kalimantan spans distances of 7 to 17 kilometers, making transportation relatively more accessible to the specialized coal port facilities.
